Safe Work Pack planning

In 2023 Network Standard for Safety of people at work on or near the line standard No NR/L2/OHS/019 has been revised to Issue 12.
PPS Rail planning senior management have been at the forefront of the major changes to the Rail Industry with respect to the 019 standard since its inception and welcome the challenges the industry faces to achieve its goals to comply with the planning delivery safe work process (PDSW)

The Safe Work Pack Service

PPS Rail can integrate smoothly to ensure compliance with Issue 12 of NR/L2/OHS/019 for the production of Safe Work Packs (SWP) to ensure the Task, Location and Operational risks are identified and controlled throughout the planning process resulting in a robust safe work pack
Line blocks Via the RailHub system and associated NR3180 forms are of course part of this service
As this is a major change a copy of our current SWP template can be downloaded here for guidance and we welcome any feedback or suggestions.

Option 1 (Large schemes)
A full-time dedicated SWP planner on site in your office to manage large volumes of planning and distribution work, ensuring your scheme is compliant with all relevant standards. This has the advantage that you will have a competent SWP planner on site to fully integrate with the project team.
Option 2 (Smaller schemes)
A part-time SWP planner is a flexible alternative for projects not requiring a large volume of work however a workable integrated process will be required to ensure all risks are identified and controlled
Option 3 (Ad-hoc projects)
This is a totally flexible service, managed remotely in our office, by an experienced SWP planner. This would be suitable for projects requiring up to 10 packs per week, but with the flexibility to expand or contract to meet peaks and troughs in demand and again a workable integrated process will be required to ensure all risks are identified and controlled
